The Ogoni people is one of the indigenous peoples living in Rivers State in southern Nigeria. The Ogoni people became known internationally after the protest campaign against the oil company Shell. MOSOP (Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People) is a defender of the Ogoni movement led until 1995 by Ken Saro-Wiwa, who was responsible for many events.
