Mossi lives on the central tray crossed by Nakambe. At present they count for half of the total population of the Burkina Faso. They are the descendants of conquering riders come from Ghana in the XVth century, Nakomsé, which integrated, in several realms the most important of which remained those of Ouagadougou, residence of king of the Mossi (conscript Mogho Naba) and Yatenga, the descendants of the groups of origin, the Tengabisi. Tengabisi lives in Farmers' communities ( Nyonyosé) and of smiths under the authority respectively of the oldest man of the clan founder. These last ones traditionally use and sculpture masks.
